Privacy Policy
Your ideas stay yours.
Effective August 1, 2026
This policy explains how Relay 1.2 for iPhone and iPad handles information when you ask Relay a question, enable private cloud sync, or contact support.
Information Relay handles
You can receive initial Relay answers without creating an account. When you use Ask Relay, Relay handles the question you submit, the generated answer, your selected AI provider and thinking options, and any answer-check or follow-up context needed to complete your request.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Relay receives a stable account identifier so it can recognize your account. Relay does not request your name, email address, or Apple password through this sign-in flow.
Your saved threads and notes stay on your device by default. If you turn on private cloud sync, Relay stores a private copy of saved thread information such as questions, answer text, summaries, topics, follow-up questions, and reading time.
AI processing and service providers
Ask Relay sends your question through Relay's server to the AI provider you select: OpenAI or Google Gemini. An answer check sends the relevant question and answer through Relay's server and may use Gemini or, when needed, OpenAI. The provider returns generated content to Relay so the app can display the result.
Relay requests non-persistent processing when a provider interface supports it. AI and infrastructure providers process information under their applicable terms and are used only to provide, secure, and operate Relay.
Operational data, analytics, and security
The iOS and iPadOS app does not include third-party advertising analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Relay does not sell personal information.
Relay's server records limited operational metadata needed for reliability, usage limits, cost control, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. This can include request and session identifiers, an internal user identifier when signed in, provider and model, task type, token counts, latency, success or failure, error category, timestamp, IP address, and request metadata. Relay does not put question or generated-answer text in its general product analytics or model operational logs.
How Relay uses information
Relay uses information to generate and check answers, maintain usage limits, sync private content when you enable that feature, protect the service, troubleshoot failures, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. Relay does not use your information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Storage and retention
Content saved only on your device remains there until you delete it or remove the app's local data. A private cloud copy remains until you erase that cloud copy or delete the associated Relay cloud account. Relay's current model operational logs are retained for up to 90 days. Security, rate-limit, and infrastructure records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and may also be subject to a service provider's retention terms.
Your choices and deletion
You can use Relay without enabling private cloud sync. If you sign in, you can later sign out or choose “Erase cloud copy” in the Library to delete the Relay cloud account and its private synced content while keeping local notes on your device. To remove the remaining local data, delete Relay and its data from your device. For help with a deletion request, email relay.ai.info2026@gmail.com.
Information you send to support
If you contact support by email, Relay receives the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. It is used to respond, troubleshoot, and improve Relay. Please remove personal or sensitive information from screenshots before sending them.
Children’s privacy
Relay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
Relay will evolve. If its data practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated to reflect the current release.
